Welcome to the Innovation Sandbox
By students, for students.
The Innovation Sandbox is a facility designed to foster learning, creativity, and innovation. Through hands-on experiences, students across campus have the chance to explore new subjects, share knowledge, and apply what they have learned. Our goal is to make learning about new technology as low-barrier as possible so that students from any major feel welcome to come in and see how their ideas can be made possible. The Innovation Sandbox is equipped with a variety of resources for students to use including state of the art equipment, educational programs, and student mentors from all disciplines.
We are located in the Bonderson Project Center (building 197) room 205.
If you are interested in coming in to see what we do here and what we have available to you, stop by anytime on
Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The Oculus Rift is a very powerful piece of virtual reality technology. We offer a wide range of games and simulations that you can try any time for free!
The most popular tool at the Innovation Sandbox is the 3D printer. A 3D printer builds up layers of plastic to form a model from a computer generated shape.
