Come join us in our 3 part adventure, going through the full process of creating an artistic piece using our 3D printers. We will be making creative and fun designs using the Fusion 360 form editor, printing them out, and then making some jewelry with them.

Day 1 - Monday May 9th, 6pm

Meet in the windows computer lab at the Cal Poly Library, 35-0111B. We will use the computers there (or your own computer if you prefer) to create a 3D model using the Fusion 360 form editor. We will go through the whole process, no experience required. If you choose to bring your own computer please download and set up Fusion 360 beforehand HERE. Either way you should set up a fusion 360 account using your cal poly email. If you want help, come 10 minutes early and we can help you get set up.

Day 2 - Monday May 16th, 6pm

Meet in the Innovation Sandbox, on the top floor of the Bonderson Projects center, 197-205. We will be going through the process of setting up the 3D files as 3D prints. We will be using Cura to print on Ultimaker printers. Here you can learn how to set up a print correctly, pick colors, hit go, and watch all of the prints start. We have limited computers in here so if you want to download Cura on your own computer that will be helpful but totally not necessary as it is a very short process.

Day 3 - Tuesday May 17th, 6pm

Meet back in the Innovation Sandbox. We will take the prints off of the printers, clean off any supports, and begin to turn them into jewelry. We will use jump rings, earrings, necklace chain, etc to create whatever type of jewelry you want. We will supply everything, but bringing extra pliers could never hurt.
